993 Cabriolet Rear Screen replacement

I need to replace the rear plastic screen on my 993 and was wondering if anyone can recommend someone to carry out this work for me. Don't really want to go down the OPC route.

Really depends where you are Jas. Might be better posting on the regional forum as there's probably lots of Boxster folk already used a local trimmer.

You need to find a local Coach trimmer, theres one that Northways Porsche specialist use local'ish to them, sorry you will need to ring them as I cant remember.

Beware they need to remove and replace the roof to do it and therefore it will take the best part of a days labour, so expect to pay around half the price of fitting a new roof i.e. £500(the labour content) so you will need to givesome serious thought to just replacing the whole thing.

Alternatively if its rotting threads and a few inches of window that have let go or a corner or two, maybe try buying the appropriate heavy duty needle and thread of ebay or somewhere, or see if they will patch repair in situ.

993 rear screens are bonded not stitched so if you want it to look original there are very few options. OPS and Southbound have the kit

My 993 Cabrio has a replacement hood with rear screen supplied by Southbound in Hampshire. They did a great job.
