992 Register Instagram account

Our Facebook pages were set up through the club and we follow the guide lines set by them, I say pages as we have two, one an open one that everyone can look at but add nothing to it and the second one, a private members only one, where any approved member can add images and information as well as our officials adding events etc. The trouble is, at the moment, so much easier and quicker to add information to FB than the forum. We still use the forum to advertise events and news, but it is a long winded process which hopefully will change in the near future.
At the end of the day we want to get the information to as many members as possible.
Alan, the comments you received were exactly as I would have expected.

I am informed that improved functionality, especially with regards to the uploading of images will be part of a forthcoming refresh of the forum and it's functionality. I do not know timeframes on this project but will share details once I know more.

I do hope so as, on my system, clicking on the "See All Events" button in the 992 Register on the website takes me to the Panamera section!

Clive

It seems to me that the migration to Social Media as the dominant communication platform will only lead to a diminution of the role and function of the Club. It is certainly binary.
When I joined the Club almost all the exchanges of information were via the Forum. I wonder what the percentage is today?
Whether or not this matters to powers that be running the Club is hard to tell. Personally I think it is a shame.

The diminished role for the Club was illustrated recently when 15 980’s met on Sunday at Caffeine and Machine in lovely Autumn sunshine. I’m sure this would have been of interest to some Club members but there was no mention on either the Forum or other Club outlets.
