992 Creaking noise in cabin

Quick follow up offer for anyone interested, I have a "Rattle finder” MP3 sound file if anyone still has any annoying noises in the cabin that they would rather sort themselves rather than have the dealer pull their car to bits!
I used it yesterday and managed to pinpoint a couple of annoying rattles which I will sort out once I get back from my jollies!

That creak is still there when I go over bumps and seems to have gotten a little louder recently.

After watching a few American YouTube videos and speaking to a few audio installers I’ve now booked my car in with a local car audio installation specialist to have some sound deadening installed in the doors and rear quarters to stop the really annoying rattles that I can’t seem to sort.
I’ll feed back once it’s been done but from what I’ve seen and been told it makes a massive difference - fingers crossed!

So, after much deliberation, research and attempting to resolve the annoying buzzes and rattle myself without success I decided to bite the bullet and hand the car over to a professional to sort.
Initially I just wanted them to eliminate the rattles but after watching a few YouTube videos we agreed to also add some additional sound deadening as well - I say additional, it actually turned out that there was virtually zero sound deadening in the car and what there was wasn’t even stuck on properly!
Anyway, Bassmechanix in cramlington have done a superb job and my car is now rattle free, feels absolutely solid and there has been a marked reduction in tyre roar - don’t get me wrong it’s no Rolls Royce and the engine noise still comes through into the cabin in all its glory but I can now hear my music clearly and can also take a call if needed.
Now, I know this sort of goes against the whole Porsche lightweight ethos, but the rattles were doing my head in and the 992 is not exactly a lightweight, plus I now have a car that feels as it should have when it left the factory.

This is good news and glad you have got it sorted. Mine is still making the creaking when going over bumps and undulations and now it has also developed some buzz in the interior. The creak they feel is a faulty driver side shock absorber and they're replacing that soon for me under warranty. Keeping my fingers crossed it is indeed that, and that the issue is resolved once replaced.
