992.2 T. Seat centres re-trimmed

Hi,

I’ve just got the seat centres re-trimmed on my 2025 Carrera T.

As Guards Red was introduced on the 1974 930 Turbo, I chose the MacLachlan tartan fabric, first used by Porsche on the 930 Turbo also!

I realise my choice is a bit “Marmite” but I’m really very happy with my seats.

Each to their own I guess.. Certainly different. I quiet like the change.

I hope you've kept the original covers - to reverse just in case.
 
Yep, my choice certainly divides opinion. 😉

I’m happy, which is what matters, and the plan is for the car to be a keeper.

The old fabric can’t be re-used after being unpicked and removed, which I knew before the job was started, but compared to Porsche pricing, it was a relatively inexpensive modification.

Great to see some non factory personalisation on a 992. Did you consider the door cards as well? Who did you use? (If you don't mind me asking!)

Hi,

Thanks! I decided against the door cards, as I thought that might be ‘too much’. Plus, the seat centres were already fabric, whereas the door cards are leather.

I used Brad Comer of Hide & Seam in the New Forest. I’m very happy with Brad’s work and would happily recommend him.

I’ve been thinking of doing the same with the centre panels on my PTS Gulf Blue turbo - I’m going to call Hide & Seam to get a quote.
