Incorporating an `industry first` ... camera linked auto. stone protection for some of the radiators [;)]

Thanks for the link Andrew…… Those front vents look very aggressive don’t they….

What a mess! Maybe a bit better if the slats are closed? And no protection at all for the centre radiator … no change there then![:(]

mmmmyyyeaaahhh. That front end could probably only be loved by it's mother although we'll probably get used to it when one is revealed properly.

The Vertical Flaps are not Stone Guards they are there to adapt the cooling and aerodynamics of the 911 and are already fitted (but horizontally) to the current 992 except the GT3, GTS and any 992 Carrera, S, Targa etc. that has the Sport Design Package. The Turbo and Turbo S have the flaps regardless of what exterior package option is chosen. They function automatically depending what Driving mode (Normal, Sport, Sport Plus, Wet) is selected and if the sunroof is opened, they also work in conjunction with the rear spoiler and in the Turbo models with the active front spoiler. In Normal Driving mode they will close at 70kph (43mph) and start to open at 150kph (93mph) then fully open at 170kph (106 mph). More information here.https://presskit.porsche.de/workshops/en/porsche-new-911/topic/body-and-aerodynamics.html and here.https://newsroom.porsche.com/en/2020/technology/porsche-active-aerodynamics-911-turbo-s-20497.html
When closed they will give some protection to the radiators behind them but I reckon anything substantial like a Pheasant would probably break the flaps.

You can't help wondering whether the vertical slats are just to make it look different! I may get used to it, but am not convinced by the look.
