987.2 goes to Europe, 2650 miles, 5 countries and a dicky switch...and the Mille Miglia.

Thanks - that’s on our list for next year when I have a significant birthday. Will be staying somewhere near Andermatt for 3 or 4 nights to do some of the passes then hopping back into France as I’ve heard Switzerland is a bit expensive!!

Switzerland is expensive but in my opinion the scenery and roads are well worth the costs involved, I based my April stay in Engelberg driving out most days to the various towns passes etc. Andermatt is located in a spectacular high valley and is a good base for many of the well known passes, most were closed when I was there but is still an adventure driving up the passes until the road closure signs.
This the ' turn around ' point at the base of the Furka pass just above Realp a 10 minute drive from Andermatt.

Great photos - definitely looking at Andermatt area (just a few other holidays to pay for before I start looking properly)

Graham - please excuse if my memory is clouded - but I seem to remember your forum name on another forum regarding a restoration of a CB175 - if it was you, you did a fantastic job on that bike, and my CB200 is never going to look like your 175 did...... If it wasn't - then sorry, it's the gin talking.....

Sorry for the delay to the thread, I thought it was all done!

Yes, that little Honda was me indeed, what a gem of a bike to work on, never rode it, sold within a day.
Really, REALLY should have kept it!
