Hi, I have a tiny few non rusting spots on my front N/S wheel arch that could do with a touch up with paint. Any recommendations for the best brand.
My car colour is Silver (exact descriptive unknown) but it’s a 2005 model.

I have found by searching the forums the brand ‘Cippex’ and the paint code inside the drivers door pillar. Which is 92U so I can go ahead and order some.
Unless someone has a better source and/or product

Dont know if they are better, or worse - since I suspect that a lot of quality of result is down to how you apply it rather than the product, but Porsche dealers sell touch up sticks, you should at least get the right match for your car

Hi Jamie,

I’ve used Chipex on a number of cars. It’s a bit expensive, but very easy to use - much better than traditional touch-in paint - with the advantage that you can use the blending solution to clean off the paint if you make a mistake and start again!😀

My 987.2 CS is in Arctic Silver on which Chipex works reasonably well [silver is always difficult to match], but I had excellent results using it on my old red Mk5 Golf GTi and a friend’s dark blue Civic Type R.

The Chipex kit’s very comprehensive and includes mini-brushes and wax to apply after the repair.
