986 Boxster coolant leak

Hi
My 986 Boxster lost all its coolant after a 45min drive. It seems to have come from the area under the coolant tank. I re-filled the tank and it held its level. I started the car and let it idle up to temp, and again it held its level. When I drove the car it lost coolant again.
Has anyone experienced this or have any clues please.

Try a new coolant cap. first cheap option to try.
But sounds like if its leaking under the tank it's a new tank.
Good luck

Hi Cliff
Thanks for your help.
I tried a new cap and the problem is still there. Sounds like a new tank is in order ??

Hi Jeff
Thanks, will do. The engine temp is always normal which is strange.
I am going to ask the guys at Autostore to check it out for me.
I will post when it’s fixed for info.

Hi
It took some time to get the car looked at, and they found a fracture in the water pipe. Hopefully now fixed ??
