981 Cayman S Servicing

Hello there, My Cayman is due it's 8 year service in March although it has only done just over 13,000miles. Is anyone able to confirm what I should be paying at my OPC. I usually use Chester who supplied the car new to me which has been taken over by Sytner this month. My other options are Stockport or Wilmslow. Also, do they still offer 10% off parts as aPCGB member?

Parts should be a 10% discount if the OPC plays ball, but it doesn't apply to servicing.

The 8yr service includes all the checks/oil/filter/brake fluid plus spark plugs so it will be a little more than a regular service, and with the recent price rises I think you're looking at £900-ish give or take.

Even though Chester is your supplying OPC, I'd strongly suggest ringing the others in your area for a price comparison then return to Chester and ask if they can match the best price, if it wasn't already Chester. Also worth trying a couple further afield such as Bolton and even Preston.

You may be suprised by the price variation.

I’ve just been quoted £1388 by OPC Solihull for my 981 Boxster S (Sytner, from whom I bought the car 2 years ago) and a smidge over £900 by OPC Sheffield (owned by JCT600) who is my currently preferred OPC. 8 year service plus plugs and brake fluid in both cases. Both were asked for PCGB discount, Solihull seem to have forgotten. Sheffield give reduced labour rate for older car and PCGB discount on parts. £900 was about what I was expecting. When Porsche published fixed prices, 981 Boxster and Cayman prices were the same.
