964RS v 964RS America

Just read the write up in 911 & PW.

Cool road trip by Don Traver to bring his car over and go through Europe with it.

So what do we learn?

Well, the 964 RS America is a very very very very very very very very very very very very slightly modified C2.

But more surprisingly...

"...does the RS America deserve its RS badge? America owners certainly think so and prices reflect that, being similar to those of Euro 964RS's depending on mileage"

What complete and utter ******** [&o]

Unless the exchange rate is now £1 = $0.8 ...which of course it may be soon[:D][:D]

You're not going to add one to the collection then Jason???[;)]

Dunno where they got their idea of prices from -you've only got to look in the for sale section on the RSA website......[&:][]

Just waved goodbye to Don this morning after a week at ours.....next stop the Nordschleife.
Top bloke and lovely car. Nicely tweaked with Bilsteins, but to be fair, nothing like the Euro RS.
However, Don's is a great car & one I'd be happy to own.
I'll get to the real Euro RS one day, but the next stop is an RS-a-like (without badges....I wouldn't be so rude).
Did a track day on Sat. in my C2 cabrio......before you comment, I know, I know, but still went past a 997C2S.
Any muppet can 'buy' the car......[;)]

Best Rs,

JonnyLux

P.S. I have 2 front refurb'd CUP1 Mags in the garage....open to reasonable offers (straight, painted inside & out).

Allegedly some of the last 964RS LHD Shells were used up with the 94' model year RS America, rolled wheel arches were a giveaway, but were these standard on an RS America?

I'm afraid that is very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very likely[:D]

According to Mr Tipler the Euro RS has "...aluminium bonnet, doors and engine lid..." too.
