Having just learnt (sorry if it's old news) that Walter rohl has bought a 964RS with his own money as a "present", I think we can now all safely know what is the best 911 ever.................[

WR is a very sensible man and I am sure he would drive a RHD car over here because he would know that there really isn't any difference in the driving experience!ORIGINAL: jason
Yes very true Simon - the best 911 ever if Walter has one must be a LHD 964RS[]

Old News Guys he has had one from day one, a man of superb choice and judgement...............[]
WR raced a power steering RS and a Trip! He liked both. And if you think the LHD driving position isn't flawed, you need to drive a car with good driving position. In the same way as you get used to the poor relationship between steering wheel and pedals, brake pedal and accelerator, you get used to the slightly greater offset of RHD. It's no big deal.Except for the offset pedals and the power steering, so that is probably not true!

The 964 is not a 911, it is a 964.
Says who? Porsche sold them as 911 Carrera's. There is no mention of 964 in the literature. Are you accusing Porsche of breaking the Trades Discriptions Act by selling something as a 911 that wasn't? I note from their website that they still sell 911's. Better call Trading Standards, quick.ORIGINAL: Alex Postan
Er, Hello! Anyone at home?
The 964 is not a 911, it is a 964.

I hate to disagree, but a very reliable source says he has only just bought it, "it" being a black "basic". Not even a clubsport!
