Guys, I don't think I know any of you, but I have been w/ porsches for many years.

Sold my 993TT S specced X50 car late June - what a mistake...and bought a beautifulblack 360modena (CS wheels, grills...) But it just wasn't me. Sold it 2wks ago after 8kmiles and 4months.

Back to reality: I have £60k to put in either a bright bright 964RS (could do black) or white 997GT3

I saw a silver one on PHead for sale what would require a bit of cosmetic work apparently (ex Italy LHD car) - do you guys know her...is she good? Price is attractive but def not my color (black rubystone red white)

I do 4-6 trackdays a year, and 6-8kmiles in all weather (snow, rain, you name it) and love old cars - maintenance cost is not an issue at all (spend 13k to put my 993TT is as new condition last year)

Do you know of any other 964RS in the market?
I'm waiting for Phil here to get back to me via my email on his black RS

Note: still debating the white 997GT3

Thx alot

Seen your post on pistonheads ..... colour should not be an issue, silver great colour on a 964RS ..... But have you actually driven one, that would put to bed all the questions.

Hi Pierre , I remember you from the Callughan London Run to Bedford on 27 Feb this year.
I was in the oldest car there , yellow 911E .
Foul foul weather , acquaplaning on the M1 , you were running in very nice dark blue 993 turbo reg N618BFL.....I remember the car cos I saw it parked up in SW7 a few times.
I have owned a black 964RS for 8 years now , it lives mainly in Cheshire but visits London from time to time enroute to Spa. Based on my experience the 964RS only comes alive on track and the tall first gear makes city crawling hard work and thats before you factor in non power assist steering in the purer LHD version.
The 964RS is not a daily driver IMHO , whereas the 997GT3 with front lift fitted may well be. Good luck with your search !

Hey Oldtimer - my fiancee would love your pastel yellow car and would take it over any car! Anything will do for me as a daily: I don't mind working the clutch nor steering.

Black RS would love gorgeous. I could do no prob ;) otherwise white as it's a racing color or flashy rubystone or peppermint...it's suits the RS IMO

Technically its Mint Green - but I'm just being picky [:)]

I think finding an RS is a bit of waiting game, they seem to be like buses.

Fear of being boring, but will ask the question again HAVE YOU DRIVEN a 964RS road or track? That will tell YOU and help you compare and decide it's road behaviour etc .... but many 964RS have differenr set ups so will drive differently on road .... look out for the more favourable front 993RS suspension set up cars ... they don't tend to lurch into ditches ... anyway good luck with your search ... but you must drive one and if you have your comments .... [:D]
