964RS Register Roll Call

maritime 964rs clubsport

hoping to make it to silverstone
am making it to oulton on the 16th

I might have to borrow my dad's 964RS Lightweight (UK - RHD) and come on down for that - I could well bring him as well!!

Oh, one last thing - RED!

Ollie, I'll help you defend rhd. The gears should be on the left, and Walter Rohrl voted for pas[:)].

964rs, rhd, cassis met[8|]. Just Std spec.

George nice car, must be the only Cassis RHD, think it's ex Hong Kong if I remember the car nearly bought it many years back .....post a pic.....

Des, thanks - yes Hong kong then GB now Ireland. I bought it from Sean Lockyear a while back.
To tell you the truth I could not not buy it.
I had not driven a 911 for over 10 years, (saving up) when I drove this car, - up near Skipton. I eased her out past some traffic on a test drive with Sean, by the time I was 70% thru 3rd gear [:)]she was sold. Its not fast, its alive - and quickish.
He had corner weighted it and the feel was/is the purest drive ever. Had seen some track action he did admit, but I could tell he cared for it, (kind to the clutch, no revs until Oil warm etc), anyway I have been a member on here for about 4 years and I blame you all for mis-leading me into it.[8|]

Hope this attachment works.

George

That's the car, drove it when it was for sale at OPC Little Aston, the car was truly awesome very very responsive and agile think it was running cup pipe, chip etc, certainly felt nearer 300BHP, just before I bought my first LHD RS, really wanted lhd plus it was £8K more than my budget and the then Mrs said no......

Hi Rich

964 white 3.8 RSR....about to hit UK very soon.
trying to sort it so i can get to silverstone for the anniversary.

Ben.

Hoping to join in.
New to 964RS ownership, my LHD 964RS Lightweight arrived this morning from Germany. Big thanks to Paul Mc and Tom. It's black and sporting very red wheels with Carrera scripts down the side.
Just needs the MOT and registering now, I've been banned by my wife from "just going to check it is still OK in the garage"!
Jon [:)]

Big welcome Jon.B, nice combo with the retro orange lettering.........look forward to you both joining the fun.....tell the wife it's an investment....[;)]

That's about 24 RS owners so far!! This is going to be a big cake!!!

Any other RS's planning to get to Silverstone? Des / Mel how many are we allowed to park next to the gazebo??

2,047

Seriously would be nice to have at least 15 different coloured cars...

I can see a rainbow effect, just need to track down those very few blood orange lightweights, last seen in Holland....

I heard the alocation per register was 6 cars?....I do like the idea of a rainbow theme for the 964RS register, you could have those rainbow flags on the display like you see in Christopher street in Ny [:D]

Thanks Des,
The wife is pretty understanding so no issues there.
The only problem is having 3 young sons and only one passenger seat!
Going to see how I get on with the red wheels and logos, might return to original spec in the future though. No hurry though, main thing is to get it registered so I can start enjoying it very soon!

Andy...yep the riviera rs staying put, not going anywere...been dreaming about that car for too long to sell it.

cheers.

I'm pleased that neither has vic c got a 964 and nor did blut orange come as a 964 colour as I really wouldn't fancy glimpsing him in that rainbow warrior outfit [:D]

Jon.b....nice car, often admired that when scouring the websites if it is the car I'm thinking about.
