964 RSL Wanted - Private Buyer

Thanks for the support Des.

I actually scratched the GT3 itch yesterday and had a look at Steve Merritt's car, absolutely first class straight car and someone will be very happy with it.....but not me. It just didn't make me ache to own it, I called him this morning to let him know I am staying air cooled[:)] Thanks again to Steve - first class bloke.

There is something about the air-cooled cars, as a professional ungineer (reet clever!) I think that the whole design/build philosophy changed with the 996 and whilst they are fine cars engineered for purpose they don't feel "over engineered" like the earlier cars do - they are faster though!

Not sure who Pirate Pete is or what type/colour of RS he drives, I don't think I've missed anything recently at GT Classics, did he buy recently from there?

Will keep looking, might have to delay the sale on the C2 to ensure I am not Porscheless in the intervening period - I even had a dream last night where I kept the C2 and bought an Elise as well - not a bad idea actually but hard to get past SWMBO and obviously doesn't get me where I want to be - into an RS.

Cheers,
Kevin.

To ease your pain ASAP it might make sense to contact www.elferpool.de, this guy has a good reputation over here. If it´s not an RSL, think about a 964 Cup Car. That´s something, it´s everything you want except a daily driver.

Good luck!

I can just see Kevin in the yellow Alzen Cup Built car
