964 Rear air deflectors

Good afternoon; please could someone help? The plastic rear air deflectors, which are attached by screw inside the rear of the cabin and covered normally by panels. During my rebuild, they were removed and I cannot for the life of me recall whether they are orientated so as to blow the rising air towards the inside of the car ie toward s the trim panel, or towards the outside of the car, ie the inner wing. Any one who could help would be very much appreciated. Thanks
