Ken, thanks for promoting this event within the 964 Register, and to John Miles for taking the rash move of inviting many to his place for a BBQ on the Sat evening.

It promises to be a great event, in the heart of Devon and will be a great day out for all the family. Many other car clubs have also been invited, including Aston Martin, Bentley, AC, Ferrari, Jaguar, Lotus, MG and Morgan "" so, together with many, many Porsches there should be a lot of cars to interest everybody.

The Motor Sport Division's new Race Centre and hospitality unit (affectionately known as "˜Big Truck') will be there, as will hopefully a major presence from the local OPC at Exeter.

If you want to enter your Porsche into the Concours, the booking form can be downloaded from the PCGB web site under Region 15. www.porscheclubgb.com Concours entries will be £10 per car.

If you want to make a weekend of it, as well as local B&B's etc there are also plenty of camping facilities with electric hook ups for caravans, campers and the like, or local hostelries.

Gates open 10.00am. Concours judging starts at 11.30am & finishes at 2.30pm. Prize giving will commence at 4.00pm.

See you all there.

That's great Allan. we look forward to seeing you and Krissie. Should be a really good weekend.

Regards,

Looks as if the 964 boys are going to be well represented over the weekend.
Any volunteers to assist with the erection and later dismantling of the Register Gazebo, if we get it along from HQ ?
It does make a good meeting point and somewhere to sit and eat your picnic.

Cheers,

It's going to be a great weekend.

Hope to see lots of you there, both Saturday and at the big show on Sunday.

Scroll back you all the details.

A great big thanks to all who organised this delightful weekend. I believe we had 16 cars on our Register Display and 2 in the Concourse Event.
A good cross section of cars present with Coupe's in both 2wd and 4wd, Targa's [inc Ken's very shiny Steel Grey] Cab's and our 2 bright yellow participants.
My highlight was that we had 2 x LHD RS lightweights and 1 x RHD RS Touring on the display.

Des would have been in his element with 2 x White cars on display, a C2 Coupe and a Wide bodied Cab.....

A great event and the concourse was'nt bad either.

Well done to all who set it all up and to those owners who attended from far and near.

Allan & Krissie

I too would like to say a big thankyou to that attended from far and wide.

To John and Rosie Miles for the BBQ and the gorgeous location, Garry Steele and assistants
for the concours event, and to Ken Chambers for his will power and enthusiasm, where
does it come from !! and also for the street 964 concours ............What a
great attendance of 964s from across the UK
And a big thanks to Bob Lovelace for presenting the fun concours prizes to the winners

I thoroughly enjoyed my weekend, A great bunch of like minded people and a
fantastic location, a brilliant drive over the moor, a good pub lunch, the
BBQ was fab,
Johns house was OK ! [;)] and a roaring log fire to cap it all down on
the river..............
The best weekend ive had in a long time amongst P.car enthusiasts ............
Thanks

Photos pending...................

What more can I add!

To John and Rosie for their wonderful hospitality on Saturday. Even though Jackie and I didn't get to join you all during the day, the evening was great - the weather was wonderful, the BBQ was superb, and then the old camp fire - what a way to end the day. Thank you very much.

And to John and Ken for bringing the 964 Register to our own Regional Concours event - thank you all for coming. I know that many of you had a long journey, but what a superb array of 964's. Absolutely fantastic. However I am reliably informed by members who were on the top bank that my Hayward & Scott just edged out the Fabspeed, but I guess that one will rumble on - so to speak!

And finally, I know that all of you had to leave because of journeys home etc, but I am very pleased to announce that the 964 Register won a lovely glass trophy for the 'Best Register Attendance'.

On behalf of Region 15 therefore, I would like to present this award to John Miles for his superb organisation and hospitality and I know you will all join me in saying a big thanks to John for all his hard work in pulling this together. This will be duly engraved and presented back to John at a later date. Well deserved.

Thank you all once again for coming. Sorry the weather was iffy on Sunday, but no-one seemed to mind.

I believe we have found a great venue for our future Concours events, so all I can say now is, will you all come back next year?[:)]
