944's @ You drive - Silverstone

It's almost time! I'm still not sure which car I'll be coming in though [&:] I've booked the afternoon off work to try to get the 944 finished in time.

Pretty please loads of pics, would have loved a go on their low friction track in a 944 turbo, hope you all have loads of fun![:)]

I'm coming down the M6 to the M1 then J15a.

Rothenthorpe services we should cross paths?

I'm in the 993....

I came down from North Yorkshire this morning and will be leaving from Ely around 0715, probably go A10, A14, A428, A421 to near Milton Keynes, then M1 up to J15A, then turn left. Aiming to get there just after 0830 in time for a bit of quality face-stuffing before the briefings.

I'll be there for 9.15 probably... (don't like getting up early). The 944 is out of its garage & on the drive. If the rain stops later I'll fit some tyres with a little more than minimum tread depth as it could be wet on the motorways.

Coming down the M1 from Derby in the 944 (unless I decide to bring the Boxster [:D])

It is looking proper wet overnight and for most of the morning over Silverstone and east of there so, yes, a bit of tyre tread would not be a bad idea.

Have fun all!!
PLEASE take some pics of 944s going sideways??????[:D]

..and backwards [:D]

I am giving serious consideration to setting off in reverse on that Ice Hill, then I have a slightly higher chance of ending up the right way...

Barely home from Goodwood. Knackered. I have no idea how I am going to drag my carcass out of bed tomorrow in time to drive to Silverstone. I can only think I agreed to do this on a Goodwood weekend because I am an idiot.

We all have moments of madness Glenn but I think yours was for good reason - you'll have a cracking day and if it gets too much you can always take a nap in the pit lane [:D]
