Now that's good to know .....
Don't sweat it, Glenn - it's fun being cool and you'll enjoy it. Trust me. I have a lot of practice at it. [ORIGINAL: GlennS How depressing, I really don't want 944s to become popular. I've never been one of the "cool kids" and I don't intend to start being so at my time of life.

Don't worry Glenn, I can't see you suddenly becoming cool any more than I will! [ORIGINAL: GlennS How depressing, I really don't want 944s to become popular. I've never been one of the "cool kids" and I don't intend to start being so at my time of life.
Indeed. My fuel light came on last night with a 20 mile trip home. I decided that getting home as quick as possible would be the best option! [&:] I quite like the way the cars are now being bought more as long-term projects, rather than the "run it to the next MOT and then scrap it" attitude that was common when there were hundreds of tatty Luxes going for under a grand. That was fine at the time, but they've moved up a division now and that's nice.Last Wednesday I determined that the rev limiter on my S2 still works, that's my kind of cherishing
I suspect that this is much more in line with what Ferry Porsche thought about cars in general. IIRC, he wasn't into polishing them at all and much preferred something that was driven regularly, and hard. Glenn, an aside but I have had very little cause to find the rev limiter in my S2 since fitting the chip. It changes the power delivery such that I no longer find myself wanting more. Are you still on the standard chip? Oli.ORIGINAL: GlennS "Cherished"? Heaven help us! Last Wednesday I determined that the rev limiter on my S2 still works, that's my kind of cherishing []
I've never had occasion to open the ECU and there's no record of the chip being changed so "probably". I would need to open the ECU to confirm, though. Mostly I find the rev limiter when overtaking with the sun-roof out. there's so much noise wind noise I can't hear what the engine is doing and I am too busy watching the road to watch the rev counter. I suspect a chip wouldn't help that [ORIGINAL: zcacogp Glenn, an aside but I have had very little cause to find the rev limiter in my S2 since fitting the chip.
