Are fuel warning lights on these cars usually reliable? I haven't dared to go low enough on fuel to see yet so wonder what people's experiences are generally. If and when it comes on what sort of reserve is there?
Could be. I can't remember for sure whether the low fuel light does come on at position 1 but I think it does ...ORIGINAL: andy watson
The thing is when the ignition is turned to position 1 and the dash lights are on there is no low fuel warning light, so is there one and my bulb has blown?

Just checked this, fuel reserve light does not come on during ignition on, although battery and low oil pressure lights do.

Isn't the outlet in the bottom of the tank anyway?ORIGINAL: VITESSE
Both our 924's have the warning which works reliably-at least 2 gallons left at that point--ie 60 careful miles, but never tested that to empty to avoid detritus being sucked up-confirm it doesn't come on with other warning lights-only when fuel is that low.
