Low miles.....looks mint..........but still a lot of cash for a 944.....

I like the stripes in the boot carpet. Think I'm going to hoover mine like that next time [:)]

Looks like a genuine, low mile, money no object collectors car - I hope they get a good price for it

.....calling RS2K.....I suppose it needs a diff & dampers & the cat removed being a 91....but an exceptional example by the look of it

£10K spent making it look new, and they leave the coolant tank looking like that? On a white car, where it shows up even worse? [8|]

Crazy. I'm off to hoover my boot carpet. [:D]

I think I would take this and savour the £45 I saved [8D]

Nah, way too high a mileage [:D]

My friend is a detailer and passed on a top tip for stripey carpets.

Hoover as normal and then use a dry sponge pulled in opposite directions, much neater stripes and it takes a fraction of the time to do ;)

Stunning car and probably one of the best out there. Will be good to see if it sells and at what price?

Only issues as Paul has said is a new coolant tank would only have cost £70 and would make the engine bay look much better and the drivers seat bolster looks rather worn and creased for the low miles?

From the colour of the coolant it doesn't look like its been changed in a while and also looks low level. Agree for the price to replace the expansion tank it would have set off the engine bay nicely.

Im not sure that Id want a car where cheap and superficial items had been changed to give the impression of freshness. Id sooner pay a sensible price for a car that was right where it matters.

Thats probably what this was when he bought it by the way, and probably for about £7,500.

A further point: things may have changed now but a new expansion tank would look exactly like that after a thousand miles. I bought one in 1994 and it was like that in a month.

I would do it to make the engine bay look even better (it looks good anyway).

Agree its not essential but a low cost improvement as they can crack over time no matter what the mileage is.

IMHO the tanks do not discolour as some chaps make out. Here are two examples. I have no idea when mine was changed but MarkK had his changed many years ago.

Granted his is an occasional use car (I shall assume the tank is the same one in the shots), but I have done 6,000 miles since February in my car, and the tank still looks the same :

I have no idea when mine was changed but it looks the same as it does in the photo from the Rutland meet (I apologise in advance for the dirty engine bay!):

(BTW if you want the shots removing MarkK just fire me over a PM. I was merely proving a point :))).

Regarding the car, it may be overpriced but we shall let the market decide. But I am willing to bet cheaper, and well maintained cars will be more rewarding. Oh hang on, there's a Turbo S just like that in my post ;). Just my thoughts really :)
