Best of luck. Market is on its knees currently and that's top money for a 944. Mileage is in its favour.
Personally I'd remove all the guff regarding the model itself, those looking to buy will have that knowledge or be able to find it in 10 seconds with google.
I'd be wanting to know exactly what has been done and when. Granted the paperwork will be extensive but a brief precis maybe.
Its good the belts have been done but they aren't a huge amount in comparison with some 944 bills [;)] And waterpump/rollers etc?
Hope you take it as constructive criticism, its either got to be very cheap or very special at the moment.
Then again you only need one buyer.

hmmm

Not sure it's all that rare "There are now only 33 of the turbo s models left on the road (according to howmanyleft.com) I believe the SE turbo variant is still rarer."

I agree with David on the ad

Maintenance records are more useful than acres of flowery stuff - when was clutch last done? wishbones, waterpump, driveshafts, wheel bearings etc.. What state are the calipers in? Does the aircon work? and the clock?...

I don't think it's a "factory race car" either

Would look much nicer with a decent set of wheels, standard D90's would be better. IMO they spoil the whole look of the car. If the seat repair is £80, get it done before you sell it.

Not sure I'd describe a car I actually wanted to sell as "lethal on anything other than a wet road".
Or even as "
lethal on anything other than a dry road", which I imagine is what you meant to say.

In the last four weeks I've done 1000 miles in mine, mostly in the streaming rain, and it hasn't tried to kill me even once.

Best of luck with your sale, your wheels look like 993 16 inch wheels not Boxster wheels.
Take some better Pics and take the flowery waffle out, looks nice though.
These cars are pussy cats,i raced one,in the wet they outhandle most cars.

Certainly looks nice, and what's wrong with a strong price for a car that's serviced up to date, belts done and the only bill it's going to throw at you is £80 for a seat repair. Although I'd agree you should do it pre-advertising at that price. [:)]

Less waffle, and more about the points that prospective buyers will be looking at. The big ones are the clutch, head gasket, brake calipers, brake and fuel lines etc., so if any of these are recently replaced that's a good thing. Bodywork is far more than a few stone chips; get pictures of the inside of the sills, and the bottoms of the wings in close-up. Everyone knows what a 944 looks like, they want the pictures of the known rust-prone areas before considering viewing a car now.

Good luck, hope it finds a decent home!

Less faff and more facts on condition and servicing needed, most buyers will know the history of these cars if not then they wont be willing to pay the premium anyway.

The issue with these 'rare' turbos is that their specs on paper are so similar to later models it kinda defeats the whole idea of having a special edition, as although they are rare in numbers there just not that special anymore. A clever marketing ploy by Porsche in the early 90's but one I'm sure pi**ed off many Turbo S/SE owners at the time.

Good luck though, its still a great car...

Short post by my standerds. its not that special nor is the colour nor the wheels, its well over priced.

Regards Mas

For That money I would be looking for near concours condition as well as well under 100k miles and standard wheels.pref forged cs d90's. I would say £4995 would be more like it.

Those wheels really do need changing, they don't do the car justice, and way over priced for the mileage... []

The style of the advert really reminds me of the 944 adverts written by Pure Performance Cars (Buchanan Motors) near Glasgow. Tend to agree with the comments re the wheels - those are 993 16in cups by the look of it. Good light wheels but not as expensive to buy as the turbo D90s or forged Turbo alloys. Should remove the comments re "lethal....." - not necessarily accurate or a selling point!

If the seat repair is only £80 - get it done. Must be honest, when I arranged for a seat repair, the vinyl alone (side section in Linen) was £45 per metre from Southbound. The repairer then needed to supply the leather and do the work..... £80 is an absolute bargain for a repair therefore. Post up who can do it for this price as it would be useful on the forum to know.

Strong money as a starting point. Good luck with it.

I'd want to see some current photos of it. All of those on the advert appear to be timestamped 18th August 2009. I'd be really curious as to why you'd choose to show photos that are more than 2 years old if I were a prospective buyer.

Thats exactly what i thought, the advert has just been a cut & paste job from a Pure Performance Cars add on Pistonheads !!! :ROFLMAO:

In the light of this new evidence I would suggest that this is a dealer trying to take advantage of our good nature. If you are a trader be ashamed, if not then keep the car and just live with your Mrs.Then you get the best of both worlds.

There are 52 Turbo S cars left (MY 88 SILVEROSE SPEC) Though not all "silberosse" coloured, from my experience most 89 Turbos seem to be SE spec ie MO30.1990 Cars seem to be a mix of standard and MO30 chassis.
Car looks nice but i will agree with what has been said about the wheels, post up to date pics and list what has recently been done and try it at that that price as they are undervalued unfortunately.
Good luck with the sale, keep us posted.
