after a full rebuilding of my engine i start it up.

Got to be honest , it just sounds like a 4 cylinder engine on tickover.
Maybe i'm missing the point :)
 
No to be honest the 944 engine doesn't sound anything special nothng like a Ferrari but it should pull like a train. Looks like some good work done there well worth the effort.
 
Must feel very good to have the engine working again and be your own work.

i like porsche 944 and not something else . for me the is a pleasure to start the engine that i rebuilt.what is tickover?

Tickover is when the engine is just idling.

The engine looks like new, you must have spent a lot of time on that, looks great [8D]
 
Andy - have a look at the blog - the older posts will show what the engine looked like - love the balance belt!
 
Drove past a Porsche dealer today in cyprus and wondered how many 944's there are left on the island,

nice work! must be very satisfying after a complete rebuild. noticed the original radio inside. more pics of engine in pieces please!
 
i brought my 944s2 from uk before two years.
here at limassol there are two 944 2,5L and one 944 2.7L.
also there are two 924. 5 of them are in good driving condition.
i never saw another 944s2.
