944 November get together

Well...sorry I couldn't make it this morning guys! I'd been pushing my luck with that battery for long enough. It was inevitably going to let me down when I had no way of jump starting it.

Anyway, it now has a nice shiny Bosch silver battery installed and starts better than ever. Unfortunately, this being a Sunday, only Halfrauds was open. Asides from that fraudulently high prices, their computor system identified the wrong battery. I only discovered this when I got back home and found that it didn't fit. Obviously it's all resolved now after a second trip to halfords in which I picked all the likely looking batteries and lined them up on the floor to find one that was shorter than the one they originally gave me.

Thanks to all for coming today, hope you enjoyed it as much as me...
Wow...944's, plenty of sun, good food and company now that was a Sunday drive out!!

And wait until see you see the "Special photo" a massive thank you to Glenn's mate for taking the time out of his day for us and Glenn for the photo and meal organisation.

Wow, thanks Glenn, Andy etc for a very memorable 944 outing. What a perfect day all round with so many positives. I trust everyone got back safely.
 
Was a great day, meeting the faces behind the usernames, nice drive out, great turnout and then get to watch some supercars out on track.....and in sunshine too! Cant be bad [:D]

Are we posting pics from the day here or have I missed a thread somewhere else where we are sharing the day with others??

Glad to meet some more guys - the display looked great, good to see so many together - that picture is amazing! We had a great time putting people into cars, and Geoff even got to go in the Club Sport one, and came back grinning - apparently got up 138 on the straight[:D]

Nice set of photos, Dan. We were lucky to get a great location to park the cars up, in many ways more prominent spot than the "pre-booked" slots that the car clubs were in.

It was a really good day, bit of everything, good run out, some nice metal to drool over, Sunday lunch. Many thanks to Andy and Glenn for organising, you even managed to get good weather. Hope to meet Dan and others I've not seen before at more 944 meets too. Photo is genius...

Glad you had a good time guys, very sorry I couldn't get,had to have some time at home this weekend (brownie points all used up!)

Photos are great, we will have to try harder in future!
