Hi,
I've recently purchased my first Porsche, an '86 944 2.5 Lux. It came with a full service history and I love it!
I've had it fully serviced, so am ready to get out and enjoy it. Just one thing stopping me though. The rear hatch keeps opening on it's own while I'm driving it! I've fitted brand new hatch pins (mushroom shaped heads/threaded stems). Is it possible the catch/receivers have worn out and not holding the hatch down?
I've tried several times with adjusting the pins - length with which they stick out from the hatch - and also made sure the round receivers are moving in and out while having the hatch up and moving the key in the lock.
I'm not in favour of buying second hand receivers, they could be worn as well. Are brand new ones available?
Any help/advice would be most appreciated.
Thanks.
