944 Christmas madness with compression figures

That could make a great project, I'm thinking a light weight 924 with all this kit in it! But I don't have the skill or time to build it. Alasdair I've not ignored your email, I'm just writing a list of other parts I'm after.....

ORIGINAL: 944Turbo I had a play as well, sorry Tref!
Six days to go Tony, six days to go...[;)] Now I have a dilema... I don't want to get into a bidding war with Tony, but wouldn't want to see Alasdair sold short either!

I'll come round in six days and distract you ;) It just occurred to me that as I haven't actually done much with the V8 conversion (well lots of research and worried about a couple of RHD issues - the starter and steering shaft will be very close and the crossmember is quite different on a RHD car from LHD) that my car could be back on the road a lot sooner with a drop in 944 motor. Tony

Exactly what I was thinking with my Turbo/repairing the balance shaft problem...then I can rebuild my engine at leisure/pop it into the secret project! Maybe Alasdair will do us a BOGOF deal;-)

Hi Tony, nope, runs fine though as it is still in the car at the moment so the purchaser can see if they want. Can do if you want a compression test but it's snowing at the moment so don't really fancy it! Alasdair

Hi Alasdair, understand the reluctance given the snow! but I am likely to bid higher if I know its in reasonable shape, My car runs fine - over 320BHP and no visible smoke in normal use but one bore is knackered, and it likes a drink of oil, Tony

Hope somebody here got it, I foolishly completed my bidding in the pub and my last bid didn't get through - sorry Al! Tony

I bought it. I had spoken to Alasdair about it a week or two before, but I wasnt sure whether to go ahead as Id just bought a new daily driver... Simon

Congrats! looking forward to seeing a monster.

I've always fancied a 924S with a 944 Turbo or a 968 powertrain. They are such pretty cars and the narrow body has to reduce drag a bit.
