yeah thanks but none that really capture my attention. There is one for 17k but the interior looks a little tatty and there is also a targa on here but I hate targa's!

Waiting for the right one to come along really

cheers

You and I both I have had five PPI's done on so called good ones and with some silly prices as well.

they just really vary in price so much - if I was you i'd scrap the idea of solely looking for a black one as this really hampers your chances. But if you insist that's better for me!!

it depends on the car.

there is a good 67k miler on ebay just had full rebuild and he would take about 13500 for it so I would mark my prices accordingly to this private sale and not dealer prices.

i have cash too so wouldn't mess around

cheers
send details and pics and price to haworthlloyd@hotmail.com

If the interior is tatty, or there are just a few items, then as long as overall the car is right, then why not budget some cash for the improvements and then you will have a perfect combination.

PS: I can sympathise, I only buy black 911's - onto my third now!

What was wrong with the car then ?

nothing guys really but there was a bit of rust on one of the rear arches, wheels needed refurbing and the interior was quite bad. dash ripped, rips in headlining, non factory speakers fitted badly, wooden plinth on floor to hide immobilisers behind, dash coming away with about a couple of mm gap, that type of thing.

I can't be arsed to start fiddling with a car to be honest, I always figure once you start spending £££ on a motor you will start to throw money away. It didn't put me off completely but I have a mint supersport to go and see and Gmund cars have just put a rather nice clubsport on pistonheads!!

I reckon the interior would be a £3,000 job and the bodywork around £200 plus the wheels £150 plus all the hassle of getting it done.

But obviously my view is my own opinion and some of you guys may not think the interior needed doing - I used to be in the concours scene so I am quite overly critical. The car is 20 years old after all!!

oh and it DEFINITELY needed new carpets, but the thing that put me off most was the 'old car smell'.

If any of you are interested the guy is really nice and genuine and will be happy to take your calls ( i think)

cheers

What's wrong with Targas? The earlier convertibles look as if a tent ha fallen down with roof down!

A 930 for 13.5k after a full rebuild, are you serious? What year is it, do you have a link? I wouldn't touch anything under 17k as you'll only spend a fortune putting it right, I paid 18k for mine (1987 black coupe) and it was very clean with loads of history etc and have spent probably the same over the last four years getting it sorted, it's had plenty of engine mods so a lot has gone there, and it's starting to need a few cosmetic bits now too, a little rust spot on the cills and it could do with the front bumper re-spraying due to being original paint and the inevitable stone chips. I can't believe that anyone would let a good one go after a full rebuild for 13.5k, it doesn't add up!!!

Jeddie,
targas are great, I had 2 of 'em. Mostly people who criticise them never drove them. Its a personal choice of course, but I think the original ones (ie. pre 993) look great roof on or off. BTW, love your rear TurboSE wings- are they original Porsche items or custom? What's the story?
