924S ODOMETER REPAIR

The odometer on my car only records sporadically mainly when cold. Various attempts have been made in the past to rectify the problem by effecting 'Heath Robison' fixes with the spindle drive but non have been successful. A Porsche specialist identified a problem with the clock itself and managed to order a new one from a local OPC. Unfortunately the order seems to have disappeared and no clocks are now available.
I should very much appreciate advice on whether a repair to the clock could be undertaken and, if so, where I can take it to.

Not sure where you are but STR in Norwich advertise in PP that they do odometer repairs (top right corner of p129 in Sept edition). I haven't used them for that but might be worth giving them a ring at least (01603 626668) to check their capabilities. R12 have a relationship with them - if you wanted to check that out, suggest you talk to ROs Tony and Colleen Wickins.
