but WUF does it best.
One of the first things Ben did when he bought the car was to take the badge panel off, wasn't it? It was a pretty awful fit with a piece of red plastic covering the gap; 924 panels don't fit S2 or turbo front ends the same way the wings from early cars don't fit.
Love the D9 one though, it looks designed, rather than an afterthought. [8D]

I need to check the other I have is useable first []
Of course. Remember that I asked though.
Does anyone make a 924 turbo badge panel (so with 4 vents) for a 944?
At least Marek in Poland (Teilecar) sells reproduction of 924 style panel for several 944 models.

Otherwise complete except plastic vent inserts for the holes. A friend of mine fabricates really nice repro inserts. Quality is better than factory originals have.

whats wrong with the fit of the one "that sold it to me" in this thread?
it sold it to me also, a real period bit of porsche evolution, like the duck tail on a 73 rs, and the cibie lamps on a 914/6 and the centre bonnet filler on an ST and the flares on a 944 and and......form follows function.

Ah so it was done by cutting the vents into a 944 panel rather than adapting a 924 example to fit. From the posts it sounds like it was quite labour intensive (expensive ?) but the result is impressive without a doubt.
Mmmm, I have been quoted from £250 to £600 to do it in the same manner.

second thoughts, when I look at the second picture of the car from straight ahead, the headlamp / badge panel fit is per your comment[8|]
but the vents are nice in the panel, just the lamp lids are cock eyed.
the panel design is subjective, to me the single slot is a bit brash for a 951
