Hi All

I'm new to the site. Got myself a 924 Porsche, got it as a non-runner. It's needs a fuel pump.I haven't had time to study the compenents as it went straight into the local garage fore the work to be done

The fuel pumps on these models are Bosch yes? Do these models have the fuel pump in the tank, as well as a pump outside. Anybody know the bosch part number I need?

Steve

Yes there is a fuel pump in the tank Porsche No. 928-608-013-00 and an outside pump downstream Porsche No. 911-608-102-02.

It may not be the pump(s) but the wiring or the relay. This is worth checking because the pumps tend to be expensive.

There were several Bosch numbers covering this car but I think they've been rationalised recently.
The info I have (please check before buying) is 0580-254-979 for the in tank and 0580-254-984 for the external one - but see comment above.

Check Berlyn on 01271-866818
or
Euro Car Parts on 0870-150-6506
or
GSF on 0208-917-3801
or
Porsche GB who I've found is sometimes cheaper. . . . .

I had to replace both pumps in my 1983 924 last year (having gone through a few relays!) and I have a spare in-tank pump that just needs a bit of rubber pipe replacing - it's free to a good home if you can make use of it !

hi Ceri

Yes please, I am sure the garage could use it. Where abouts are you in UK?

Steve
