924 convertible

I know they are out there, but does anyone have any idea how many 924 convertibles are in the UK or any information where they were converted/imported from?

I have a person who is looking at a 1980 924 Turbo (a 'dubloon' model?) they are looking for some background information.

They are asking an unlikely £4,000 for the car in question!
 
wow i never even knew there was such an animal as a 924 convertible any one go pictures i would love to see one

I'm pretty sure the 924 convertibles were aftermarkets done specifically by a german firm who i think also did some early 944's before porsche did them officially. - i've seen some on ebay over the past 6 months or so - and i remember seeing the german website.
There's a little bit on the 924.org website about 924 cabs but i think they are "home-made" jobs.
