Yes it's hard work this winter.. i just unpacked a new winter duvet and I have spent all weekend turning the dial up on the room stat.. there I'm ready.. [:D][:D] all this logging is just hard work [;)]
 
912UK, saw your car there on Sunday. Have to say, very nice. Is it true you'd resprayed it yourself? What an A1 job.

I was having a good time until I took my 1989 3.2 carrera to have a small dent removed from r/n/s wheel arch. The dent disappeared but the paintwork suffered a mysterious symptom. It's gone pale and patchy under the laquer but is smooth to touch, like a bruise really. I was gutted because the paint defect is more noticeable than the dent, and rather more expensive to correct![:(]

All seams along time ago now.. I did all the prep work at home in a home made wooden work shop and then took it to my mate Alan's ( who I didn't know at the time all that well, We since get on real well I think he likes the fact I have a real interest in paint and he shared alot of tips with me and now we have a great laugh and I still do jobs with him it's great to learn another trade. ) we then got the top coats done there and here's the result, It's never had it's final cut back.

I rib Alan as the bumpers where the only things I didn't prep and the only things to have a spot of rust come back are guess where !!! the bumpers I rib him lots!!! so called Pro.. my arse!! :rolleyes::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: he hates it!!


 
Great photos, you and Alan did a grand job. You must get a great sense of pride/satisfaction every time you go out in it!
Actually no, mine isn't a white 911, it's baltic blue. Did you see something go wrong on another car? I'd be interested to know as the guy who did it reckoned it was down to something the previous owner had done (I've only had the car a couple of months).
