What a great weekend with lots of new friends and excellent driving. [:D][:D][:D]

Shame about the journey home though. Back of a breakdown truck.[:(] Still kept the mileage down on the car I suppose.

See you all at Le Mans in June

Mike, sorry to hear about that. Did the hose split or just come off?
Hope it didn't get too hot.
Looked at mine today and have decided to order some new ones as they look very original.
Otherwise a great weekend and thanks to all the organisers and Manx helpers.

Cheers
Dave

At the top of the radiator is a small plastic screw which fits on radiator and a plastic spigot that the hose attaches to. Unfortunately this had snapped in 2 and the best part is that it was a brand new one fitted 10 days ago. It is on the return pipe to the overflow reservoir. It happened at the traffic lights so hoping all should be OK as I pulled over within a minute of it overheating.

New part ordered and should be back in action for week end.

Definately worth carrying a spare for the £3 cost

Regards

Mike

You didn't do too bad on the quiz. The person sitting next to me got the number of the London Region wrong... And he is the Regional Director..[8|][8|][:D]

Mike, if you get onto the 968uk forum you will see a story about those 5 minute jobs that turn into a 2day job. I think it's on the general page.
I had that problem as well but luckily noticed it when in the garage at home.
All the best
Dave

All sorted. One new £3 plastic nipple and new coolant and all is well for the next trip. Picked up my new tyres yesterday so ready for a few more laps of the TT.

Regards

Mike

Ps Bought a spare just in case ( I think this could be the start of a huge garage full of just in case parts)
