Hi all

Just purchased a lovely 89 Lux in white with 108k full leather interior, which is mint and no rust or any stone chips. The paint work really is immaculate. Extremely pleased with it and it still pulls like the preverbrial.

As with all things nothing is 100%. Have an issue when changing down gears. Clutch feels fines and all gears will select no problem both up and down but when changing down into 3rd there is a small vibration/judder from what feels like under the gear stick but when changing down to 2nd the whole car vibrates/judders quite severely.

Any ideas what might be causing this. Help would be most appreciated as the rest of the car really is superb and want to try to get to that 100%!!

Cheers All.

Pictures to follow.

hiya mate, love our cars in white [scottys for example],good mileage, sounds like shes a beauty, it was between white and red for me, sorry cant offer any mechanical advice, regards jason p

I think if you look for threads talking about the rubber donut on the clutch failing (it absorbs driveline shunt & deteriorates eventually) you might read some symptoms that match up with yours.

Cluch isn't a cheap or easy thing to get to so it could be worth getting a specialist to have a look at it to make sure it isn't something else.

Try heeling & toeing to match revs, might help [:)]

In my limited experience I would say it could be the clutch, mine made some strange noises/vibrations whilst it was on its way out. Since its been changed those have now gone. Is it also slightly difficult selecting relverse? Has the clutch been changed recently?
