Guys - I have been sowly re-building this car and have many new engine parts, some of which are:
- Oil pressure relief valve
- Alternator,
- New Big end shells,
- Re-built hydraulic tappets
- New belts
- New idle pulley bearings etc
- etc
From an ignition/fueling side I have changed for new:
- Rotor arm
- Distributor cap
- Coil
- Spark plugs
- Ignition amplifier
- ICV
- Some broken vacuum pipes
- TPS
- DME Relay
I have a mate who is a Porsche mechanic and has checked all sensors etc and they appear to be good. But after leaving the car over xmas she now runs terrible and is horrendously rich. Black soot coming out the exhaust, misfiring, the plugs are either soaking wet (then she won't start) or black and really sooted up once she has run very lumpy for a few mins.
I have ordered a new DME engine temp sensor but does anyone have anything else that I can try. The Porsche mechanic is really running out of ideas.... beginning to think that the car may be doomed.....
