718 servicing costs?

OK an update - Car now booked into local Porsche Centre for first service - 2 year fixed service cost £495 inc VAT. plus brake fluid change £95 inc VAT. Fair enough.
When I queried about Porsche Club discount the service receptionist said there was none on "fixed price servicing costs” - is that correct? They only offer 10% discount anyway but surely that was one of the reasons for being in PCGB?
Which Porsche Centre is this as mine needs doing and have just been quoted £780 including Brake fluid change ?

Is brake fluid change needed at only 2yrs?
I've just had my 981 BGTS 4 year service in Dec and the brake fluid was a requirement at 4yrs, not aware it should be done at 2?

That was Porsche Centre Teesside - just completed this week. Includes 1 litre top-up oil & a plastic case (both chargeable ??) which I would argue should be optional as I still have a full one from new

I think there are many manufacturers who recommend a brake fluid change at 2 year intervals, certainly BMW and Mercedes, to name but 2 others. They may all be "in it together", as it were, but I figure that there's no point in taking a chance (and it looks nice in the service book!:ROFLMAO:)

Hi just had call from Porsche Sytner advising 4 yr service due August on my Porsche Cayman S 718. 2017. Total cost £1380.00 ( can’t remember if +VAT.) Anyone got better rates didn’t think to ask if they gonna offer discount to Porsche Club members. Am In Leicestershire and can I use an independent Porsche specialists nr me. If so any recommendations (Had extended warranty and checks in Feb 2020). Thanks in lieu ????

Hi does any body no if the clutch fluid is changed at same time as brake fluid. As it uses the same fluid to operate. Regards Glenn

I don't think so Glenn unless you ask specifically for it to be done. In addition, each brake caliper has 2 bleed nipples but I'd be very surprised if the inner ones have ever been bled by the Porsche techs since ideally it requires the wheels to be removed to gain access and they'll just save time by bleeding only the outer nipples ... although I'd be very pleased if I heard otherwise.

With 2 year service intervals and costs of around £1800 over 4 years that is not bad when compared to Lambo / McLaren service costs.

Back in 2017 / 18 my A45's first service minor was over £500 and that needs servicing every year.

My current M2comp only requires service every 2 yrs (mileage based as Porsche) and BMW threw in the servicing package £1k to seal the deal when I bought it so no servicing issues with that, not sure if my GT4 will be costing GT prices or standard Cayman type costs guess I'll find out in 16 months.

If we have nice cars we should expect to pay a little more than your average Focus type as long as the OPC is not taking the P… , then pay up, smile, consider yourself lucky, drive the car and enjoy it. The current situation brings a reality to life in general, we are not here for long and if we can afford to buy nice cars lets enjoy them you really don't know what's round the corner !!

I own a 718 Boxster UK (2019). Just had first service as vehicle 2 years old this month and at 7000 miles. Initially, they quoted £795 for first service. Porsche Leicester got down to £625 and then Nottingham matched it. Its mainly fluid checks and changes with no engine drop required so this is still the top end of reasonable but need to keep sevice history tidy if I sell next year. I'm very satisfied with the vehicle. Its black with the large carrera wheels and black carbon exhaust so looks smart. Crabbing on low speed tight parking manoevers isn't pleasant and I would say low down driving position isn't for everyone. Performance is excellent and handling is as everyone describes. Took me several months to trust the balance of the car when cornering at speed but now it feels very reliable and can be balanced easily.
