718 remote services

I have a new 718 GTS 4.0, trying to work out what services and time period (other than the 24m Navigation and entertainment) you receive with a new car.
There is nothing showing in the My Porsche App other than the Nav, should I not have mileage, lock status etc or is it a paid subscription from the start?
Many thanks

Hi David. If you log into your Porsche Car Connect webpage you can look at what you get. The app isn't great tbh but is good for tracking the location of your car.

Thank you Dan,

I have logged onto the webpage. My car shows as having an active contract for the Navigation & Infotainment Services only. There is a link that directs me to the Connect Store for additional services. There is a further link to Vodafone for Car Connect Services, with a separate login. Where I assume you can renew activate/purchase additional services such as the tracking services. My question Is this also for the remote services, and should that have been activated with a code for the new car at handover with a free period, or are the remote services chargeable. I have seen a price for renewal of circa £109 just for remote services without the security and/or tracking.
David

You get the remote services for 12 months with a renewal of £109. The Connect service is free for 24 months. On the Connect page you can purchase the Tracking Service at a cost of ~£250.

I took delivery of a 4.0 GTS recently and I am delighted with the cars performance and handling. It really is great fun to drive. However the tech and interior is now quite dated. For example one of the things I really found useful with my 992 was the ability to find a destination on the APPS mapping feature and send it directly to the car. As far as I can see you cant do that with the Boxster

I am in the same position, having come from a 992 S last year.
I also used that feature quite often. In fact have used it on various BMW’s and Mercedes cars for many years. The best I seem to be able to do with the 4.0 GTS is save favourites and sync them to the PCM.

The built-in sat nav is really a bit crap.
Much better to use car play, and then use Waze or Google for free, or even better spend the vast sum of 12.99 and get the TomTom app for a year, this has far better route guidance, traffic, speed cameras than the free apps; it's worth every penny.
