718 Cayman N Rated Tyres

just don't buy " Pirellis" eak !!!!

Modern Pirellis are fine. I have a preference for Michelin myself but the current Pirellis are perfectly OK. Mr Demon is living in the past

Graham, totally agree with you, both my Boxster & my Macan run on Pirelli P Zero & I am quite happy with them. The Macan is lucky enough to have a set of winter wheels & tyres, & guess what they are Pirelli as well! 😄. In the winter I must say the winter wheels & tyres transform the wet weather grip when it is colder ie around 7c or lower, not been luck enough to try them in snow! Yet?

Before I order the Pirelli N1 tyres could I just ask again about whether I should still consider the Goodyear N0 tyres instead. I am tempted to go for the more recent N1 tyres but some reports rate the Goodyears still so I am now undecided. Any further advice would be much appreciated. With my thanks John

Don’t get hung up about the N number. The number is specific to the particular tyre model and size, and has no correlation to different tyres. It just means that that tyre in that size has has a revised specification. Fir example, the N1 P-Zero is a newer tyre than the N0 P-Zero. That’s all. It doesn’t mean that it’s a newer tyre than the N0 PS4S or N0 Goodyear. The much older Michelin PS2 is currently at N4 (in 18“ size) but it’s still an older tyre than a N0 PS4S.

out of all these tyres in 2023 it came last for wet braking by a LONGGGG way. enough to kill you if the guy infront brakes on a better tyre on the motorway. ie 3 extra meters only at 50mph !!!

Wet Braking

Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmet

Continental SportContact

Firestone Firehawk Sport

Maxxis Victra Sport 5

Falken Azenis FK520

Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S

Nexen N Fera Sport SU2

Giti GitiSportS2

Kumho Ecsta PS91

Bridgestone Potenza Sport

Pirelli P Zero PZ4

the over all winning tyre and the ones I use now are , followed by goodyears new tyres and the infamous PS4S in 3rd (getting old now) Pirelli are gutter tyres. People can fit what they like but a lot of bull**** about N spec and how people like Pirelli's !!
Continental SportContact 7
I ALWAYS FIT the BEST tyres available, been using PS4S for as long as I can remember, now I use sport contact 7 on one car and PS4S on my other car. Beofer that I used Supersports and before those PS2. but that's 20 years ago ! I had a 991 GTS on P zero gave them another go, binned them off within a week. Horribe ****ters. backed by bad reviews year on year, enough in the wet to kill you on the Motorway if you need to stop !!!! Conti 7 and the PS4S are amazing tyres. cannot wait to fit the new incoming P5SS, they will be king again. People who fit "Pirelli" must not like driving or fun !!! or like using a safer tyre than the next guy. Def no driving enthusiast buys "Pirelli" Garbage !!! I am shocked poeple spend £100k on a car and don't swap to nicer tyres if it comes with ditch finders !!!
