The restoration of my 911S is nearing completion.

In order to protect the car i seeking advice on:
1. Paint protection. Anyone any experience of front end paint protection film? Costs, companies etc.
2. Vehicle security systems both for insurance purposes and peace of mind. Basic immobiliser or go for tracking systems? Any experience of Cobra, Tracker or Skytag?
3. Locking wheel nuts for Fuchs. Can you get them and is there a period (1969) locking nut?

I can see why you want to protect your investment the way prices are going in early cars ...if you are not on the boat now then it has sailed without you .
I dithered about buying an early car but now out of my range for a fully restored one .
Try over on the www.ddk-online.com for advice as well .Would love to see pics of the finished car
 
I don't know of anyone using a paint protection film on an early 911, but I do know someone who had his daily driver 73S front end repainted every winter. Your insurance company should advise you what system to use. Porsche sell locking wheel nut sets for a quite reasonable amount, but I don't think that rim security was even thought about in period, so don't worry whether they are period correct. I, too, would advise you to post on DDK, you are whistling in the wind here.

Philip, you part number is correct although the early versions were key operated. The part number of the early version was 92836104703.

I have checked the part number you supplied and the secuirty nuts are available from:
