On a totally anorak point there were 2249 engines built for that model year against 1942 cars, what ever happened to the 307 extra engines?

You only live once....stop dreaming....just do it
now and enjoy driving it. Rebuilding / restoring this car will reduce your life expectancy and probably destroy your marriage / relationships.
If you have never rebuilt a car don't make this your first one.

I would think the body work alone at somewhere like Rober Gants will be in the order 65/70K - then you have the chrome, wiring and interior
could well be another 25/30k and that presumes you have all the bits. So in order of 85K by the time youve finised - and probably have to wiate three years for a car that would be valued at approx 50K
