4th May Brands Hatch - Support MarkK & Neil

Might make it there earlier after all. Is plan still to meet, watch first qualifying and then grab some breakfast?

Yup. I should be there from shortly after 8am but will wait until after the Porsches qualify before having breakfast to miss the "marshal rush".

Makes a change from when they deliberately blanked me last year.
That's a shame. We need to stand up for ourselves if things like that happen; take names and get people removed from the event teams if they aren't capable of doing their job. It's no use a year later, and it's a shame if there is going to be an "us and them" thing at events. [&o]

ORIGINAL: craiginuk Great, we still parking on South Bank?
Yup! [:D] Too late to change the plans at this stage. There are people who have indicated that they are coming along who don't use this forum and / or who might not bother to check for last minute changes to plans made well in advance.

Great day at Brands Hatch watching the PCGB Championship with some excellent company. Many thanks to Mark for making us all welcome in his pit garage and taking the time to explain the intricacies of his race car! Some photos of Mark in action

Quali was good did a 53.8,just didnt capitalise on it for one reason or another, managed a 4th and a 3rd in class, was worried I might not finish second race as the gearbox started to break wouldn't hold 4th gear which is a bit unnerving going into paddock hill bend the first time it pops out,so gearbox is out on Tuesday .... Thanks again chaps[:)] Next race is Donny hopefully gearbox will be fixed in time,so if anyone fancies coming to watch.....!

I think you need to leave more space between you and the car in front, look at the state of your front bumper, it's a disgrace [;)] I saw all the yellow laps on the TSL timing website, what were all the safety cars for?

There were a few bumps and offs,I feel well practised in the whole SC drill now though[:)]

Excellent! You can give some tips to the Brands Hatch safety car driver, then. He hadn't a clue. He kept failing to pick up the race leader; in one of the MG races the leader even slowed right down and waved him out but he still got it wrong!
