Dear all, I'm very much looking forward to attending this event, it will be the first international meet for both myself and my T2 Coupe. Is anybody here planning to go? Would there be any appetite to travel there in convey?

356 International - Portugal 2024
- Thread starter Aircooled_Obsession
- Start date
I'm booked up to attend. I'll be going Portsmouth/Bilbao not Santander only due to the dates being better for me. Transit time planned for two days there and back. Unfortunately, my engine cases are currently still at the machine shop with further work to be completed so it looks like there is going to be a few midnight garage sessions for me.
Apologies for my delayed response - I'm still trying to work out my logistics. I'm not sure whether my wife will fly out and meet me there or whether I can convince her to join me for the drive over. As such I haven’t booked ferries etc yet. Are you planning on travelling with any others?
Anyway, I hope you manage to get the car sorted in plenty of time without too many late nights.

Terrific! Just learnt there's a 'dress code' for the Intl. This might be difficult cos I live in shorts and T shirts, except when I'm out on the Harley. So it's going to be a space battle between a set of spanners and a jacket. Big decisions eh.
There is always a dress code for the Porsche Internationals and Porsche Parades but normally only for the Saturday night Gala Dinner. Sometimes it is black tie dinner jacket etc.
The one in The Netherlands was psycadelic (?) 60's gear, almost music festival hippy stuff and for the Dutch Porsche Parade the dress code for the gala dinner at a night club in Amsterdam, was all silver or all white. Those who didn't bother making the effort looked very much out of place!
During the event for the drives and visits during the day, it is usually some sort of, either Club or the event shirts and shorts, jeans, chinos etc.
If this is your first 356 international I am sure you will enjoy it and want to do another one, they are great fun among like minded people from all over the world who eat drink and sleep Porsche 356.

Hi We are booked for the ferry on the 5th arriving in Bilbao early on the 7th. Haven't planned the route but thinking about first night at Salamanca
Hi Sarah Jane, apologies for my delayed response - Yes, I'm also booked onto that Ferry so look forward to meeting you there.
Hi folks. Recently acquired a 356 and we'd love to attend this meet. I guess too late for this year though as presumably sold out.
I see that attendees need to be members of an official club. Does this include PCGB?
Also any idea on where the 50th meet in 2025 will be? I couldn't find any details online.
cheers

Hey Catherine, congratulations on acquiring your 356! I'd love to see some photos, are you on istagram?
I'd imagine this meet is all sold out, but it may be worth dropping an email to the organisers incase of any cancellations:
info@portugalporsche356.pt
I'd also suggest it may be worth posting a wanted tickets on the 'Porsche 356' group on facebook, i seem to recall a few changing hands late on last year.
And yes, your membership here is all that's required.
Look forward to seeing your car in the flesh soon.
