3 years and 36,000 miles...

..with my 944 Turbo

I thought I would give a quick pictorial history of the last 3 years with the old girl

The day I brought her home at a mere 194,000 miles

After some advice on the forum a liquid claybar and polish later:

First Visit to my mate's house (he has had 968, 996 and 993)

After my first year/5,000 miles which cost me £750 (2 tyres, cambelt, brakes, service & MoT) I splashed out £2,200 on her which included the Sills:

One of my favourite Pics, taken at the flying club:

She was used in all weathers, which wound a certain member of the forum up

And was the dirtiest car at last year's Rutland meet!

My Son (aged 8 then) started to learn his way around a socket set on her:

And she got used for all kinds of things

Often came to the rescue of more modern machinery (right up to yesterday!)

Literally 15 minutes after we exchanged contracts on the house and she knew she was going she had her one and only breakdown:

And even when her young rival arrived she still looked lovely

and Finally she drove off into the sunset..

I hope she gives 944man as much pleasure as she has given me...

Nice summary there FA.

The 2nd last photo makes me think that the 944 has the edge for front end looks on the 968 (although I like that too).

I like the looks of the 968. May keep my eyes out for one with a blown engine and stick a turbo unit it. Should be an easy(ish) swap and have a desirable resale value!

Yes, all very emotional!!
