R7 FISH AND CHIP RUN 2026.
[FONT=verdana, geneva]The 2026 Fish and chip run to Whitby will be on Sunday 19th April and Wednesday 22nd April.

We aim to start the Sunday run at: -[FONT=verdana,geneva][FONT=verdana,geneva]Porsche Centre York, York Business Park, Ings Lane, York YO26 6RA.

Please aim to arrive at 10:30 and we will be departing at 11:30.

There will be route guidance for the run from York to Whitby in the form of Google Maps. The route will approximately 73 miles, with a mid-stop at Helmsley.

[FONT=verdana, geneva]The Wednesday event will be starting from: -THE MOTORIST

Lennerton Lane, Sherburn in Elmet. LS256JE. Please aim to arrive at 10.00 and we aim to be departing at 11.00.

There will be two routes of approximately 100 miles and we will suggest places to stop en-route for coffee etc.
Route Guidance will be with Google maps.

We hope to arrange a stop at Sledmere House café on Wednesday for those taking the eastern route around York.

It is requested that entrants book their own seating at restaurants in advance this year. Please annotate the booking with Porsche R7 so the restaurant knows it is the club run out.

We would suggest the Magpie, Trenchers, this restaurant will only accept online bookings for eight people minimum. Abbey Wharf is a good restaurant for those with a canine friend accompanying them. We have been in touch with the Magpie restaurant to advise them of our trip out. We would suggest that bookings be made between 14.30 and 15.30 hours to allow for travel and stops.

Contact Trenchers direct at enquiries@trenchersrestaurant.co.uk

Contact the Magpie direct at reservations@magpiecafe.co.uk

Contact the Abbey Wharf at info@abbeywharfwhitby.co.uk or book direct through their web page

Magpie will do groups up to 10 and have availability on both days between 14:30 and 15:30.

We are hoping to confirm car parking at the Co-op as usual from 2 pm onwards. This will give members plenty of time to arrive in Whitby and enjoy a stroll round the town, ‘weather gods permitting!’
There will be a charge of £5 per car for the CO-OP, this will be for the Co-op’s current charity.
We also aim to run a raffle on both dates in aid of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Would those wishing to do the run forward the following details to me at:
r7touring@gmail.com
please do not post your personal details on here

Please annotate details as: - Fish and chip run 26.

How do you book direct as a ‘single’ if the cafes only take minimum numbers online booking?
Or do we tell you we’re going and you make block bookings?
(newbie question) 🤓
