Hi Chris and Delia,The 2024 Fish and chip run to Whitby will be on Wednesday 24th and Sunday 28th April 2024
The Sunday drive out will be starting from :-THE MALTINGS TEA ROOMS. Common Lane, South Milford, LS25 5BX
The Wednesday Event will be starting from:-THE MOTORIST . Lenerton Lane, Sherburn in Elmet, LS256JE
We aim to meet at 10.00am departing 11am.
There will be two routes of approximately 100 miles and we will suggest places to stop en-route for coffee etc.
Route Guidance will be paper copies with Google maps options for those who require them.
We have arranged a stop at Sledmere house café on both days for those taking the eastern route around York.
We have arranged with Trenchers for 30 places on both days and the booking time is 15:00 hrs. The restaurant have agreed to hold tables for up to 15 minutes in case anyone is delayed. There will be alternative restaurants available as per previous years.
We are hoping to confirm car parking at the Co-op as usual from 2 pm onwards. This will give members plenty of time to arrive in Whitby and enjoy a stroll round the town, ‘weather gods permitting!’
There will be a charge of £5 per car for the CO-OP this will go to the Air Ambulance Charity.
We also aim to run a raffle on both dates in aid of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Please state if you wish to dine in at Trenchers. Where ever possible we will endeavour to accommodate people’s preferences for dining but people with mobility issues will be given priority at Trencher’s
