2019 Regional Show Witton Castle Sunday August 18th ****UPDATE****

Another superb show.

A big & special thank you to Greg Deb for the organising & a personal apology for “sliding“ my car on the parking area.

All who took their part in the show, thank you

Another great R3 show, thanks to everyone for turning out today to make it special in the sun shine.

Special thanks to Deb and Greg who tirelessly work to make it all seem easy, Chris and Molly for supporting from PCGB, Dave and Karen Bradford and Amy Carnaffin for the concours, and all the parking attendants - Mark and Sally Longstaff, Dave Carnaffin, David Chapman, Chris Mettham, John Hancil, Martin Reay, Graeme O'Neil, Mike Walden, Gordon Thomson, Simon Wales, Dave Bradford (Gen 2), Abigail and Jim Edwards; and Sally, Alison, Angela and Jacquie for the raffle... and all the roadies who help us set up and pack away.

Looking forward to 2020! Philip

For an event that almost was called off at the eleventh hour due to adverse weather, I am so grateful to everyone who still came along and supported our Regional show, whether assisting, showing or a trader, everyone played a massive part in ensuring this year's show was a huge success, especially those who chose to travel from further Regions.

The biggest accolade must go to the guys and girls who stepped up to assist the Region as part of this years R3 events team. Without your incredible help and support this event certainly would not have been possible, not forgetting the many other members (not just from R3) who joined us and mucked in.

Some of whom certainly dug deep and assisted the whole team throughout the day, to allow 100s of others to simply enjoy a great PCGB day out. There are far too many of you to mention but you all should be extremely proud of what we collectively achieved today as a Region.

Apologies to those showing in the concours for keeping you waiting longer than we had anticipated to process your fantastic cars, but after you all put so much effort into preparing them David & I felt it would be disrespectful not to give each of one the time it deserved, prior to sharing your results. Once again, thank you all for your contribution and showing your cars.

I will update the results tomorrow, but for now Deb and I am going to kick back with a very, very large glass of wine.

Another great show thanks Greg and Deb for organising it, really enjoyed it and the weather held. A great day 😎👍🏻

Hi,

Great to catch up with some of you today, apologies to anyone I didn't have chance to speak to but sincere thanks to all who helped and with special thanks again to the unbelievable amount of work got through by Deb & Greg!

Another great day from R3!

Cheers,

Paul

Really enjoyed today - great venue and impressive setup - from the welcome at entry to the wave off from Greg at the end of the day I had a brilliant time. So much experience and willingness to share info and advice made it another useful day as well. Loved the history line up of the 911s, meeting and chatting to the owners of the concours cars and simply wandering amongst the parked Porsches and being delighted to see familiar faces for a chat and catch up.

This was my first Witton Castle event and yet again another great advert for R3, Greg, Deb and their team. Thank you all for the effort needed to set up and deliver such a superb day - much appreciated - Loved it! 👍

Yes a truly well organised event with more of everything this year. Once again lead with unswerving dedication by Greg & Deb and ably assisted by a host of seconds-in-command as detailed above by Philip, many thanks to you all for your time and hard work.

The forecasted rain did not appear and so some missed out on another hugely successful R3 annual event. Thanks to all attendees and contributors.

Sir John...

Another great day. Good to catch up with familiar faces that are not often seen at club nights.

Thank you to Greg a& Deb and otheres for all the hard work befrore, during and aftre the show.

Andy & Angela

Hi all just a few words from myself to say thank you to Greg and Debs and all the helpers that made this show possible.

As a lot of you know I’ve been a member and around this marque for four decades (I was even at the very first north east meeting) I have meet lots of Porsche people over the years and like all of you helpers I played an active role in this region but not so much in the latter years but it’s fantastic to see how this region has grown.

as a lot of you know my day job is a car cleaner around this product and so have never ever done a concours ,I do like to keep my cars clean as it is an advert but who wants to do your day job at a Porsche show, and was only done as a space filler! but to bring my 996 along and win honestly I did not expect it (after all the piss taking I have done over the years to the likes of Mathew, Trotter, Martin etc) .

To think after almost 50 years of been a Porsche fan and Rita having to suffer all of my junk I do still have a massive passion for this marque

Very very much appreciated Peter

(I know I am a shit writer I’ve never wrote this much since school)🤣🤣

As promised the results for our R3 Witton Castle show are as follows;

2nd Tony Cowling 911 Supersport
