2019 R7 Pirreli Performance Centre Open Evening - 18th July 2019

Hi Mark

I would be very interested in attending the Pirrelli open evening if there is space available. (two if possible but one will do).

Many thanks

Bob Moorhouse

Hi Mark, If you have any space left? I would like to come along for the night.

Thanks

John Oakes

A very interesting evening at STS Tyre Pros, who would have thought Pirelli have over 2500 different Porsche specification tyres on the catalogue!

Thanks to the organisers and our excellent hosts who carried out geometry checks and adjustments on several of our members cars, they do run a very tidy tyre centre deserving their platinum rating from the tyre company.

(I feel a bit of a traitor having 'M*******s' on mine)

I echo what Peter has said. Having recently replaced the Pirelli tyres on the front of my 996 and it being 3 years since the last Hunter alignment I had it in mind to have it checked despite it feeling well planted. STS offered alignment if required for £50 instead of the usual £125. They checked mine and the front was slightly out so I had it adjusted. On my drive home the difference was immediately noticeable and the car felt even better than it had before. It was £50 well spent and it goes to show how deterioration can creep up without one noticing.

Thank you to Pirelli and STS Tyre Pros for an interesting and informative evening.

Please include me as an attendee.

Just realised the post was for an event in 2019!

Hope that there might be a repeat event in 2020?

Hi Mark,

Sounds Interested - please count me in (x2 people 1 car) if there's room left.

To late to book as this event was last year 😀

Could someone clarify whether there is an equivalent Pirelli event in 2020 and, if not, close the thread down, please?

I seem to remember we cannot close events down on the forum, it will be possible to ammend the date to include the year which may avoid recurrence of this.

The CoG are aware of the possibility of date confusion, all new events should feature the date in a day/month/year format, if we miss any, please raise the alarm.

Peter

I have edited the title to include LAST YEAR's date.

I do think that members should read the thread they are contributing to!

If a forum post is not on the first page then the chances are that it's an old post, and the same goes for finding posts via search, just check the date first.
