2016 Whitby Fish & Chip Run - Sunday 17th April

Hi John and Rita,

Told Mark at the meeting last night but will tell you just in case. We are taking Michael to a 'Heartbeat' event the day before and need to drop him in Pickering. We don't really want to do the same run again the day after so will give it a miss this year.

Have a good day,

Chris and Linda

hi all, new to the club and fancy the ride out to the coast with you all. is it too late to book on and squeeze into the car park and join you all for fish and chips ?
me and the wife, so 2 in total.

cheers
tim

Four more cars:

Me and Daniel are all in.

John Tempest and David Hawkins are all in.

Michael Forest and his son are all in.

Tim Clark and his wife are all in.

Still hoping to be there but no meal - Labrador in the back! Unfortunately, still waiting for alternator refitting, needed a new unit in the end, so cutting in very fine.

Ok guys I think it is time to close the list, the parking is full and we have a large number of people and cars on the run. It's going to be a good one.

Looks like we will now not be able to make it. Alternator refurb. delayed – new fan blade bearings needed! Part ordered but doubt I will be ready for Sunday. Ever wish you had not started a job?
Hope you all have a good day; weather forecast looks favourable.

Hi John,

I'm not going to make it along to Whitby, so can you cancel re-allocate my parking slot and the two places for lunch.

Thanks Tony

PS may make it to Malton for a coffee.!

Any news on the weather for tomorrow? Roads were gritted near us in Kirklees last night. Hope North Yorkshire's gritters aren't working tonight.

Thanks again for allowing some of the R3 Posse to tag along on your annual fish & chip run to Whitby. We had a fantastic day starting with a nice crisp early morning run to Specialist Cars. We enjoyed an entertaining drive over the moors into Whitby.
We chose to park up at the Abbey and walk down so as not to take up any of the allocated places for the pre-registered cars on the run and ate at one of Whitby's many fine fish & chip establishments near the end of the bridge watching the world and Porsche owners go by, before heading back North. Overall a brilliant day with some special cars on show and a chance to catch up with some of our friends from R7. Thanks to all at R7 and John at Specialist Cars for your hospitality.

I would like to say a massive thank you to John and Rita for putting the Fish & Chip run together, and to John Hawkins and his team at Specialist Cars for their hospitality.

I almost can't believe how popular it has become and this year it was truly great to see so many new faces.

We raised £200 for the York Rescue Boat which is brilliant.

Putting photos together at the moment, and will post up on the website and here when done.

Not entirely sure how this came to the front as it's last years event.

I am going to lock it so that no-one can post on it!!!!!
