1996 Carrera 4 US purchased modifications

Hi all! I am new to Porsche ownership. I inherited my dad‘s prized 1996 Carrera 4. I recently relocated to Scotland and brought the car with me. I knew he would want me to be driving it and enjoying it here in the Highlands. I did not do my homework and now I’m stuck unable to register the car. There are a good deal of modifications that need to be made in order to make her road ready. I will attach the failed MOT below. I’ve reached out to Porsche of Edinburgh and Glasgow with no real responses. Anyone have any leads on somewhere I could get this work done?

I can’t open the MoT, but ask your local pcgb region rep for help.
They will be able to suggest who other region people use, and you can ask the same question of them.

Its basically the lights, to get it through an MOT the rear lamps might be ok with green LEDs in them, if not its new units, hopefully the headlights can be flicked over like the RHD ones can be when travelling in Europe. Side repeaters will need to be added as will the rear fog. This will mean wiring and socket in the reflector and a switch or you maybe able to piggyback onto the front spot switch. Drop link boots are available cheap enough.

I would take it to a Porsche specialist if you dont want to undertake this yourself.

I'd definitely recommend speaking to your local PCGB region rep first—they'll know which independent Porsche specialists nearby have experience with older imports. They'll probably save you a lot of time compared to the OPCs. Good luck, and I hope you get it on the road soon!
 
Love it when you get zero feedback on a topic after 3 replies of help, is it just me or does this come across as rude to other people too?
 
I think it is a case in point across all forums. Some get the answer and job done. I've got used to it.

Rare to get it over on DDK and Impact Bumpers, but they are a much closer 'community'.

Nope, it is good to finish a thread that you started, conclude it as many read them and want to read of the conclusion!
But, you might be right!
 
Maybe it’s because the post is in the wrong section and one which may not get a lot of reads?

I’m guessing that it’s a 996 and it may get more attention there.🤔
