1989 turbo brake servo ratio

Hi
I have to remove my brake servo but don't want to lose the stopping power. Does anyone know what the servo ratio is? I suspect somewhere between 3 and 5 but I need to know exactly so as to buy the right remote unit.
Has anyone experience of fitting a remote servo or using no servo and some other brake boost or just different pads?

Can't remember the ratio off hand, but I know it written in the factory manual turbo supplement. The early turbos have a lower boost ratio than later models. i think 1988 was the change over year.
