Been for sale for ages.It is reported to be a prototype S2 from the factory i.e, 3 lt 16v engine and turbo brakes etc. But in all honesty if it was thwn surely it would be in the Porsche factory. Also why would you want a car with 82 miles on it.You could never use it and even if you wanted to you would have to replace loads of parts ( all rubber parts for starters) .
I say if it is genuine then put it in a museum and leave it alone.

ORIGINAL: TTM

Looks like a regular S2/turbo shell with a S engine?

Could be - the S2 is the 220 turbo with the 3 ltr engine rather than the turbo and a different gearbox. My '91 S2 looks just like that one except my "one-off Porsche fitted tailgate" is black rather than body color (and the D90 wheels and partial leather script interior)

25K is a big ask for an "S2" that could never be more than a "garage queen". It would need rock solid provenance from Porsche of its credentials as the Detroit Show car before it was worth anywhere near that.

I remember an S2 prototype being for sale on German ebay about 2 years ago.. It had about 250k miles on it ... It was grey and well shook looking ! It was sold by the factory when they no longer needed it and filtered down the ranks after. It had the 3ltr engine D90 wheels and only said 944S on the tailgate ... 1988 as well !

Did I just dream that [:D]

I agree that 82 mile car wants put away in a musem if its the genuine article ! An expensive ornament when you consider you will get a really nice good running S2 for 1/5 of that price....
